MY STORY

I started training with Melissa because I was sick of being out of shape. I used to play college volleyball but once that ended I stopped working out completely telling myself I was just wanted to take some time off. Who would have thought that time off would turn into way over a year of no exercise. I was getting to the point where I couldn’t even jog up a flight of stairs without starting to get a little out of breath. That had never happened to me before so I knew I needed a change.

After about 2 months of training with Melissa she got me into better shape than I had been in over 4 years and started me on a healthy eating plan which was easy enough for me to follow even after I stopped training with her. She really helped me get on track for a healthy life long fitness program.

MY STORY

I wanted a personal trainer because I felt like I was doing some of the right things, but I needed guidance. I was running twice a week, and had just completed my first half marathon in January. However, I could not lose the 10 lbs. that I knew I needed to lose. I have two herniated disks in my lower back and wasn’t sure how to go about training.

When I started with Melissa, I weighed 153 lbs. She gave me instructions on what to eat, how much, and exactly how many calories. I was thrilled to have the tools finally to accomplish my weight loss goals. I loved the workouts, she talked and laughed and it was fun (and hard). I knew going in every week I was accountable because I had to weigh-in and it kept me on track. Every week she would check my food “log” and let me know what I was doing right, and what I was doing wrong. (Yes, I found out a bottle of wine is 600 calories).

MY STORY

When I started training with Melissa, not only was I a size 16, weighing 178 pounds, and could jog slowly for about 1 minute without being completely winded, but I also had a broken ankle and was wearing a big walking boot. I am now a size 6. After losing 43 pounds and I am getting ready to jog my first 5K. I am celebrating my 40th birthday this year and I am in the best shape of my adult life. I feel better and I am healthier, inside and out. Not only do I look better, but with Melissa’s help, I have really made a lifestyle change that will help me live a longer and healthier life. Also, I feel like I can be a positive role model for my kids and help them have a better understanding of the impact of good nutrition and exercise. My family and I owe Melissa so much because I could not have done it without her.

Mike's Story

From a size 36 pants, down to size 32.  Lost 34lbs in 4 months!

Before working with Wagner I had spent the last 12 years of my 46 years taking care of the family. All I did was work, eat and sleep. Sure I got serious at times. I ate a few salads, cut back on portions and even "worked out." Before I realized it I was wearing very tight 36" waist pants, smoking 11/2 packs of cigarette's a day and minimal activity. Walking my 210 lbs around was my exercise of the day along with taking my high blood pressure medication and high cholesterol medication. My wife and decided we needed a change during the 08 Christmas holidays.

Lisa's Story

I joined Lifestyle because I knew I needed a change in my lifestyle and I needed help with motivation.  I found all of that in my personal trainer, Wagner!  I can't say enough about him.  Not only is he my trainer, but he is also my friend.  From the beginning, he helped me set my goals and has continued to help me reach them.  He has kept me motivated, not only with my workouts, but with my nutrition as well.

He is very knowledgeable in nutrition and he has a great passion for his job.  Wagner truely wants his clients to succeed.  I have done things that I would have never thought possible when I started working out.  When you think you can't do anymore, he is there "with you", helping you out.  I look forward to my three day a week sessions with him and I actually enjoy working out now.

Linda's Story

Nine months ago I finally faced the facts. I was fifty pounds overweight and in poor condition - both mentally and physically. Although I had started biking a year earlier, hoping it would take off the pounds and get me in shape, I wasn't really making any good progress. While biking had become a passion and my cardio was greatly improved, the weight was still there. I wanted to be a better biker. I wanted to be physically fit...strong in body and mind...healthy.
